7th International Conference on the Quality of Information and Communications Technology

Call for Papers

Conference organization

On this 7th edition we will organize the conference around three vectors:

  • A set of thematic areas, organized as Thematic Tracks, having all in common the concern on Quality. Each of those tracks will roughly correspond to one of the above topics of interest. Participants for each of these tracks will have the chance to meet separately on the first day for keeping the discussion more focused and allowing a larger active participation of practitioners and researchers interested on that specific area. Thematic Tracks will occur in parallel in the first day of the conference. Authors are requested to submit a PDF version of their papers in IEEE format. These papers should not exceed 6 pages, including figures, references, and appendices.
  • An Industrial Track - This track will occur in parallel with the Main Track on the second and third days of the conference. Each session may include the presentation of industry papers, tool demonstrations, special presentations from conference sponsors, round-tables, birds-of-a-feather sessions, etc.
  • A Main Track – This track will occur in parallel with the Industrial Track on the second and third days of the conference. Each session may include keynote speakers and/or extended paper presentations.

Selection process

The paper selection process for this conference is innovative, in that it will be organized in three rounds, of increasing Quality ratings. On the first round, the thematic tracks papers will be selected. On the second round, the best papers of the first round will be given a chance to participate in the main track with an extended version of their work. On the third round, the best papers for the second round will be given the chance to participate on a special edition of a peer-reviewed journal.

Proceedings publication

As in the previous edition, papers accepted at this conference will be published by Conference Publishing Services (CPS). Participants will receive a proceedings paper edition containing Main Track papers and a CD containing the electronic proceedings with all Thematic Track papers. Papers and other presentation materials accepted for the Industrial Track will be published online at the conference website. Papers exceeding established limits will be charged for pages in excess. Authors of accepted papers must sign the IEEE copyright form. At least one author of each accepted submission must register and present the paper at the conference, to assure its inclusion in the conference proceedings. Like in previous editions, QUATIC proceedings will be submitted for indexing in ISI Web of Science, SCOPUS, ACM Portal, DBLP and DOI System. During the closing session of QUATIC’2010, awards will be given to the best papers presented during the meeting.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit extended and improved versions to be published in:
